Although conducting wellbeing sessions with the Leeds LS7 area, I am willing to travel and can facilitate workshops around the country.
I specialize in clinically-related issues such as the following:
- smoking cessation
- anxiety
- panic attacks
- phobias
- bruxism (teeth grinding)
- limiting perspectives
- insomnia
- self-empowerment through self-hypnosis and more
Mindfulness
The art of being fully present in your life, without judgement, can help to reinforce the process of change by enabling greater fulfilment. This can help to undermine the limitations that can keep you stuck.
Neuro Linguistic Programming Tools
include:
- mind body connection
- identifying limiting beliefs and perspectives
- reframing life experiences
- timelines for investigating and undermining negative emotions
- goal setting
- clarifying difficult choices and more
Wellbeing Workshops
As well as offering one to one therapy sessions, I also deliver fun, active and practical wellbeing workshops that use elements of physical theatre (mime, mask-work, games) as a foundation for introducing useful tools derived from therapeutic practises such as Visualisation, Mindfulness and Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). Further ingredients may include:
- relaxation based on hypnotic patterning
- coaching
- goal setting
- mindfulness
- conflict resolution based on NLP technique
- overcoming resistance based on the mental muscle technique developed by me
- introduction to the subconscious
- accessing and anchoring resourceful states
- understanding the parasympathetic nervous system’s role in fight or flight responses.
With Teachers in Mind
As well as being a therapist, I am also a fully- qualified teacher (secondary and primary PGCE English) who understands the demands and challenges of the teaching profession. Therefore, I have designed a bespoke workshop with you in mind.
Running along similar lines to the one outlined above and containing similar elements, this workshop has an additional feature. It contains suggestions and focal points as to how both the drama and therapeutic tools can be used with children and young people to enhance the curriculum, pastoral, care as well as personal and communal wellbeing for the benefit of all.
For example, mime is a simple but often overlooked tool that can be employed to enrich learning from Literacy to Person Health and Social Education (PHSE).
This workshop would be most suitable for delivery during staff training, inset days and staff-bonding sessions.
Workshop Background
I am a seasoned workshop facilitator (with a performance background), having delivered workshops for a variety of institutions such as Lyric Theatre (Hammersmith), Tree Musketeers, Learning Trust Hackney, Hackney Museum and independently at a variety of schools in London.
